It's May and we've been very busy so far this year. Camp is just 2 months away and we're only just beginning the busy season. The Heart and Soul Charity auction was a major success in January with a new emcee, Jeff Jamison, from CBS11. February was the official start of recruiting volunteers for camp and a challenge from the Board of Directors to start a second camp in 2013. In March, Alice and I travelled to California for Royal Family Kids Leadership Training. April brought us a speaking engagement at Crestmont Baptist Church in Burleson and the Kilometers 4 Kids fun walk. Just last Saturday we completed the Backyard Circus which raised just over $8400. God continues to bless our efforts and we are continually amazed by His provision. Join us in praying for this years' volunteers for camp and for all aspects of the 2013 camp.

(Dec 2011) The 2011 Links Fore Kids Golf Tournament was a great success this year raising over $14K after all expenses were paid.  It was our first year to hold the event at the Cowboys Golf Club in Grapevine. In addition to our record fundraising efforts, we also had a record number of golfers, 96, register for the event.  The 2012 event will be held on September 11th, 2012.  For more information, please visit the Links Fore Kids Charity Golf Tournament website.

(November 2011) Lions and Tigers and Bears, oh my! Well not quite. If you've never been to the Shrine Circus you are missing out. Two dozen ConnecTeens enjoyed it this year. It was the first circus for most of them. Some experienced riding the Circus Fire Truck, some got to ride an elephant and others got to their faces painted. All of them enjoyed ring side seats.
